About Poleitical Diaries

My pole journey began a long time ago, with amazing classes taught by my friend Tara, but I picked it back up again in late 2010, when I began taking weekly aerial pole dancing classes at The Pole Garage, in Santa Monica, CA. I started this blog to talk about my experiences while training for my first pole competition: The Pacific Pole Championships, which was held on Saturday, May 19th, 2012. I placed 3rd in my category! Since the competition, I have been (and will be) writing about all manner of things related to pole and lyra: the ups, the downs, and all of the bruises in between. My pole journey also inspired me to launch Poleitical Clothing with my pole sister, Courtney! You can find our cute, fun, and comfortable pole-inspired designs at www.etsy.com/shop/poleiticalclothing.
